Composition
Amoxicillin (as Amoxicillin trihydrate) 140 mg/ml
Clavulanic acid (as Potassium clavulanate) 35 mg/ml
Indications
For the treatment of mastitis and respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica in cattle.
For the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections (such as abscesses, pyoderma, anal saculitis and gingivitis) in dogs.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to penicillins or other substances of the beta-lactam group.
Do not use in animals with severe renal dysfunction accompanied by anuria or oliguria. Do not use in rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or gerbils.
The use of the product is contraindicated in cases of established resistance to the combination of penicillins or other substances from the beta-lactam group.
Adverse reactions
Diarrhea, vomiting and sweating may occur rarely after application of the product. Application of the product may occasionally result in pain or itching upon injection and/or local tissue reaction.
These substances may cause hypersensitivity reactions that are not related to the dose. Occasionally, allergic reactions (eg skin reactions, anaphylaxis) may occur.
Local tissue reactions at the injection site may occur following administration.
These reactions are usually accompanied by mild to moderate swelling and/or induration and may persist up to 2 weeks after administration of the recommended dose in the muscles of the back or legs and 4 days after administration of the recommended dose in the muscles of the neck.
If you notice any adverse reactions, including those not described in this leaflet, or you think the veterinary medicinal product is not working, please tell your veterinarian.
Dosage and administration
The product is indicated for intramuscular administration in cattle and subcutaneous administration in dogs. The recommended dose is 8.75 mg/kg body weight (7 mg/kg body weight amoxicillin and 1.75 mg/kg body weight clavulanic acid) or 1 ml of the product per 20 kg body weight once daily for 3-5 days . Shake the bottle well before use. Use a completely dry sterile needle and syringe. Clean the stopper before withdrawing each dose.
Advice for correct application
In cattle, the maximum volume administered at one injection site should not exceed 10 ml.
Withdrawal periods
Cattle:
Meat and offal: 42 days. Milk: 80 hours.
Storage
Keep out of sight and out of reach of children. Do not store above 25 °C.
Shelf life after first opening the package: 28 days.
