Effect method:
Antigens contained in the vaccine administered into the animal body provoke creation of specific antibodies, which then protect the immunized animal against rabbit haemorhagic disease and myxomatosis.
Full post-vaccination immunity develops in nine days in case of myxomatosis and in ten days in case of haemorrhagic disease and persists for a period of one year in case of haemorrhagic disease and for a period of six months in case of myxomatosis.
Immunity:
Full immunity develops againts myxomatosis 9 days and againts pest 2 – 3 weeks after the vaccination, respectively. Animals kept for breeding should be re-vaccinated against myxomatosis in 6-months and and against pest in 12-months intervals. Considering the disease seasonal incidence, animals should be vaccinated (revaccinated) in time to ensure their full immunity during the whole critical period of infection occurrence.
